As a kid in 1967, I was enthralled with the mods in England— they set all the fashion trends. I yearned to look and dress like Twiggy, the first supermodel.
By combining 4 small canvases to complete this piece as well as background color blocking, I'm paying homage to the iconic Mondrian dress. I'm submitting this to a local show, so it isn't available for sale until December. 12" x 12" | Oil on deep cradle canvas | $400 There are numerous ways to hang this piece, some of which are shown below.

Lions are here to live their lives, just like us. They are not here to be hunted. They are declining at an alarming rate. 42% of the lion population have died in the last 20 years. At this rate, they will become extinct in our lifetime. And it will be the fault of man. Their fate is in our hands.
This is part of two ongoing series: Endangered Species, and the NOT Series. Please contact me if you are interested. Thank you for caring! Oil on canvas | 9" x 12" Some people paint celebrity fan art, but the people who really inspire me are artists! This is Lita Cabellut, who is one of the most renowned painters of our time. She paints big, and tackles important themes. She is so successful, that I can only admire her work online. On my bucket list is to see one in person!
My model wanted to channel her inner Audrey Hepburn with this pose, but I saw more sophistication and less wide-eyed innocence in her look. This is a girl is beautiful, and knows what she wants! Sasha is a fierce ballroom dance competitor, even when she rehearses, she is "on."
The "glamorous life" of a ballroom dancer is actually about 5% glam, beautiful dresses and bling on the competition floor, and 95% hard work, sweat, and lost toenails in the studio. Oil on linen, 10" x 10" | $350 |
