For the past year I've mostly painted small pieces. The daily painting style is to paint quickly and small, which makes the art affordable, and gives the artists more opportunity to perfect techniques and try new styles without investing too much time if it doesn't work out.
This is the first 16" x 20" I've painted in a year and a half. It took about a month, off and on. I also painted several small pieces in the same time frame. I really like the push/pull of loose and tight rendering, and feel this is my path artistically. (may be my Gemini personality!)

Way to go, Rhea! This is absolutely fabulous, and definitely says YOU, in every stroke. Seems as if your artistic voice and technique are happier when they have a bit more elbow-room. A 16x20 isn't really enormous, I know, but it seems to suit you well. Looking forward to your new directions.
