Presidents Day inspired me to paint the best presidents (ranked by historians). I really enjoyed reading about each of these men, and "getting to know them" through the painting process. All great leaders who tirelessly and seriously worked for the people they served. I plan to do at least 12, which will make a nice symmetrical display. These are small studies (6" x 6"), each completed in 3 hours. Oil on cradled birch board. Ranking: 1: Abraham Lincoln (16) 2: George Washington (1) 3. Franklin D. Roosevelt (32)

If you ask me, we have never gotten a president that is worth the hype. Well, we are a great nation, no matter who is running the government, at least that is what I believe in. The presidents that we have had, they all did a great job, but no one was really exceptional. I really hope that we can have a president that can change the world.
